Our History
A Strong Foundation
The story of LeoRock Mining & Plant & Plant, began with a strong foundation built on shared experience and a passion for the mining industry. Our Directors both started their careers by completing their apprenticeships, where they developed a deep understanding of heavy machinery, component rebuilds, and the demands of the mining sector.
After their training, they set out to work across Africa, spending a number of years honing their skills in diverse mining environments, from the copper mines of Democratic Republic of Congo to the gold fields of Ghana. Those years abroad gave them invaluable insights into the challenges and opportunities of the industry on a continental scale.
Upon returning to South Africa, both Directors reconnected with each other, and together they saw an opportunity to combine their expertise and build something impactful.
In Gauteng, the heart of South Africa’s industrial hub, they founded LeoRock Mining & Plant, a company dedicated to delivering excellence in component rebuilds, machine rebuilds, and plant hire.
With our combined knowledge and a shared vision to change lives through quality service and training, they set out to serve mines across Southern Africa, creating a legacy of reliability and growth in the mining sector.
